چکیده

In this paper, we propose an algorithm for doing reconstruction of general 3D-curves from a number of 2D-images taken by uncalibrated cameras. No point correspondences between the images are assumed except for the end points. The curve and the view points are uniquely reconstructed, modulo common projective transformations. Furthermore, the algorithm is independent of the choice of coordinates, as it is based on orthogonal projections and aligning subspaces. The ideas behind the algorithm are based on an extension of aane shape of nite point conngurations to more general objects, like for example curves and surfaces.

3D Reconstruction Using Cubic Bezier Spline Curves and Active Contours (Case Study)

Introduction 3D reconstruction of an object from its 2D cross-sections (slices) has many applications in different fields of sciences such as medical physics and biomedical engineering. In order to perform 3D reconstruction, at first, desired boundaries at each slice are detected and then using a correspondence between points of successive slices surface of desired object is reconstructed. Mate...

Reconstruction of 3D-Curves from 2D-Images Using Affine Shape Methods for Curves

A New Approach for Quantitative Evaluation of Reconstruction Algorithms in SPECT

ABTRACT Background: In nuclear medicine, phantoms are mainly used to evaluate the overall performance of the imaging systems and practically there is no phantom exclusively designed for the evaluation of the software performance.  In this study the Hoffman brain phantom was used for quantitative evaluation of reconstruction techniques. The phantom is modified to acquire t...

Target detection Bridge Modelling using Point Cloud Segmentation Obtained from Photogrameric UAV

In recent years, great efforts have been made to generate 3D models of urban structures in photogrammetry and remote sensing. 3D reconstruction of the bridge, as one of the most important urban structures in transportation systems, has been neglected because of its geometric and structural complexity. Due to the UAV technology development in spatial data acquisition, in this study, the point cl...

Affine invariant detection of perceptually parallel 3D planar curves

The problem of parallelism detection between two curves has been formulated in this paper as a line detection problem within an azne-invariant local similarity matrix computed for the two curves. Each element of this matrix gives an a$ne invariant measure of local parallelism for any pair of curve segments along the two curves. This approach enables the detection of a pair of parallel 3D planar...
